Delaware Beach Hotels

When you plan a Delaware beach vacation, you’ll be happy to see that there are a vast amount of Delaware beach hotels to serve your lodging needs. A Delaware beach hotel can be found in all, or at least most of the renowned Delaware beach towns, and the variety of accommodations should provide something for everyone. The motels in Delaware are abundant, and there are certainly a fair amount of them among the Delaware beach hotels, so if your budget is tight, you can save a little there. Several wonderful Delaware bed and breakfasts can be found near a beach, and a few of them are among the top Delaware beachfront hotels. Every Delaware beach hotel raises its rates in the summer, which is understandably the high season. In the off season, you can expect the rates to fall, though at Rehoboth Beach, they may not fall far, as the outlet shopping stores here bring in plenty of winter visitors. Just be sure to book your Delaware beach hotel in advance, especially during the summer. They are known to fill up fast.
Before you pick a Delaware beach hotel, you’ll want to first choose the right Delaware beach resort town for your tastes and preferences. Dewey Beach, for example, gets quite rowdy with partygoers on the weekends, so families might avoid weekend Dewey Beach getaways. In Lewes, history buffs will feel like they are in the right place. This historic beachtown is the state’s oldest city, and there are some great historical attractions here. Sportfishing in Lewes is also a prime draw, so if that’s what you’re after, it might do you little good to book a Delaware beach hotel in Fenwick Island. The Delaware beach towns are all close to each other, however, so visiting other ones is not a major issue. The beach hotels found at Bethany Beach might interest you more than those in Rehoboth Beach, for instance. That doesn’t mean that you can’t easily hop in the car and visit Rehoboth Beach. The drive is shorter than you might think, so you can enjoy the Rehoboth Beach shopping, duck into one of its day spas, or stroll along its boardwalk, and still be back to your Bethany Beach hotel before sundown.
The Delaware beach hotels have little to offer in the way of resorts, though there is one that will certainly do well by those who are looking for Delaware beachfront resort hotels. The Boardwalk Plaza Hotel sits right on the beach in Rehoboth Beach. It offers both luxurious rooms and a list of guest activities that can include fishing, kayaking and all kinds of other fun water-related pursuits. Of course, many guests simply take a few steps, set up their beach chair and umbrella, and then kick back for a while. The Sea Colony Oceanfront resort and the Sea Colony Tennis resort are found near Bethany Beach, and though they offer resort amenities, there is no sort of traditional hotel found at either. Instead, these resorts are known for offering beach rentals in Delaware. You can stay in a townhouse, condo, or single-family home at these resorts, and the resort amenities are pretty nice, to say the least. Beach rentals in Delaware are becoming more and more abundant, and new projects are in the works to meet tourism demands.
Some of the best Delaware beachfront hotels are bed and breakfast inns. This is certainly the case with the Addy Sea, which is found in Bethany Beach. The accommodations here are quite elegant, and though the beach is right in front of the place, you still feel like you’re out of the way a bit, which is soothing to some. A few Delaware beachfront hotels can be found on one of the beachtown’s boardwalks. This is very much the case with the Henlopen Hotel in Rehoboth Beach. The rooms here are somewhat simple, but the oceanfront rooms and ocean views from the other rooms are enough to keep most guests content. The Adams Ocean Front Resort Motel and Villas is an interesting choice among the Delaware beachfront hotels. As the name implies, you can choose to stay in one of the motel rooms, or you can pay extra for a nice and spacious villa. Regardless of which Delaware beach hotel that you select, you’ll see why scores of visitors come to Delaware’s Sussex County beachtowns. They are just fun places to be.
